STEAM Maker 2 Class

This Semester 2 STEAM Student Set features student kits for seven sequential, 2-week workshops (to round out a 14-week semester). Please note this set includes MATERIALS ONLY. Your Home School Teacher must purchase a Teacher Set. The Teacher Set includes curriculum booklets with the assembly instructions and lessons associated with all kits. In this semester set, Makers will explore Life Sciences and cover the entire plant life cycle. Through these engaging projects, Makers learn about hydroponics and greenhouses and compare the different growing methods. They learn the elements of good soil and create the optimum soil mix for their gardens. Makers will observe the journey from seeds, to sprouts,  to full-grown plants; They will harvest these plants, prepping the leaves to make fragrant spices. Makers will crush dried corn, and use it to make cornmeal and corn tortillas! Then they wrap up the gardening unit with a segment on pollinators,  building pollinator houses! Finally, Makers will create exquisite garden art with recycled materials, offering a complete urban garden experience!     Projects Included:Greenhouses, Growing a Vertical Garden, Hydroponics, Pollinator Houses, Corn, Harvesting, Garden Art.
